It all started in 2016, when Chyna was 18 and finishing high school and Ethan was 19 and in college.
Their first date was a trip to see Deadpool, which, admittedly, didn’t leave much room for conversation. Apparently they had a lot to make up for, because afterward they sat in Ethan’s car talking for six hours.
And that was pretty much it. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
On March 29, 2016, they made it official.
Not long after, Ethan transferred to Western Connecticut State University, where Chyna would soon be starting college too. What started as two people in completely different stages of school quickly turned into getting to experience college side by side.
In 2017, life took them across the country to California while Ethan attended Oaksterdam University. The plan was simple: stay for one semester and return to Connecticut in December.
That... did not happen.
They fell in love with California, decided to stay, and began building a life together on the other side of the country.
California brought plenty of new adventures and a few new hobbies along the way. Chyna found a love for aerial arts, while Ethan began practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Together, they bonded over playing video games (and still play together to this day), working out, exploring their new home, and, most importantly, eating and cooking really good food.
And if you know them, you already know: Ethan is the chef in this house.
Their family started growing pretty quickly, just maybe not in the traditional order.
In 2018, Chyna adopted Shadow, better known as Sha Sha, followed by Aslan in 2019. There would absolutely be more cats if Ethan allowed it.
Shoutout to the Litter-Robot.
Then came the Aussies: Mylo in 2020 and Marley in 2021.
In 2020, Chyna and Ethan also bought their home in Antioch, California, officially turning what was supposed to be a one-semester adventure into home.
Somewhere between building a home and collecting animals, Chyna and Ethan made it a priority to see as much of the world together as possible.
Over the years, they’ve traveled to more than 15 countries, taken countless cruises, road-tripped across the country, eaten their way through more places than they can count, and collected a lifetime of memories along the way.
No matter where they are, though, they’ve always been happiest doing life together.
Through every move, trip, new hobby, pet, and chapter of life, one thing has stayed the same:
They are best friends first and romantic partners second.
In 2022, while on a cruise in Brazil, Ethan proposed.
And then came their greatest adventures yet.
On March 29, 2024, they welcomed their first daughter, Esmé. Somehow, neither of them realized until afterward that she had arrived on their anniversary.
Apparently, March 29th really wanted to remain an important date in the family.
Then, on December 26, 2025, their family grew once again with the early arrival of their second daughter, Zéa.
After years of adventures around the world, their favorite one became the little family they had created together.
There was never much question about where Chyna and Ethan wanted to have their wedding.
Jamaica has always held a special place in Chyna’s heart. Both of her parents were born there, and the culture she grew up with has become something Ethan has come to love too.
Especially the food.
In fact, Ethan has managed to get family recipes directly from Chyna’s grandmother that Chyna herself doesn’t even know, just so he can recreate the same at-home flavors she grew up loving thousands of miles away.
But despite traveling together all over the world, Jamaica is one place Chyna and Ethan have never experienced together.
Until now.
By the time they gather in Jamaica in December 2028, it will have been more than 12 years since that first Deadpool date and six-hour conversation in the car.
Twelve years of growing up together.
Twelve years of adventures, moves, late-night video games, really good food, new hobbies, countless flights, four-legged family members, two beautiful daughters, and a whole lot of life in between.
Now, they get to experience Jamaica together for the first time with Esmé and Zéa by their side, surrounded by the families and friends who have been part of their story along the way.
And they couldn’t imagine a better place, or better people, to share this moment with.
See you in Jamaica.
